LEANDER MOTION-ASSISTED ADJUSTMENTS
Leander technique is a variation of flexion-distraction technique. Leander technique uses a motorized table for adjusting the spine and stretching the muscles of the spine. With the assistance of the motorized table, spinal motion is induced passively. This allows the Doctor to feel spinal motion, and in turn find vertebral restrictions. The passive motion that is brought about by the motorized table also allows for spinal manipulation and adjustments to be performed with less force being used by the doctor. Therefore, the use of the motorized table also allows for more patient comfort during adjustments. In addition, the Leander table can be used to comfortably and gently stretch the muscles of the spine, and decompress the vertebrae and discs of the spine, both with and without the intervention of the Doctor. The large majority of patients that experience the Leander motion assisted table find the treatment very comfortable and enjoyable. In particular, patients with osteoporosis, pregnancy, low back pain, and disc issues seem to find additional benefit from treatment with the Leander table
